it is my sad duty to tell you that the valley that this and so many other stories on here have been written about is on fire.................... makes me want to cry but nature I guess will find a way to come back but in my life time I doubt it will ever be the same........... I guess I should just be glad that I have so many wonderful memories of it ......... those can never be taken away.

I couldn't think how to tell you. My Dad just talked to some folks that said the entire watershed has burned. I haven't confirmed that yet from the maps, but the maps earlier were showing the fire right in the heart of the valley. It was only a matter of time before all that dead, beetle killed timber fueled a fire. I've been anxiously following the reports all day long. I hope we catch a break with the weather later to avoid over silting the stream from erosion from the now bare hillsides.

All I can say is that I am sorry. We had the same thing happen to our area, our favorite fishing areas burned.

It is so sad.

You will find other areas, it's what you do and you will remember the fine times that you had in the areas that are gone.

It makes your stories so much more special.
