    Low Flow Fall Browns

Here's a few pics I took along the colorado new mexico border. Lots of cool stuff to see on the way to some recon and hopefully a little fishing.

Salt river canyon arizona my gateway from hell

    Apache country

    Narrow gauge country

    Habitat restoration country

    Fall aspen country

    Elk ranching country

    Bison ranching country

    Finally the river

    At low flow

    Still nice water

    The inhabitants

Took a long shortcut to another famous river via the dam dirt road

Revealing view of the river valley below

    Crossing the dam

    Finally the river

Just went back down to low flows

Which made for some happy inhabitants

Good trip but wish I had a good pic of this football I caught

Very nice. Those rock wings are really out of the water compared to last summer and I thought last summer had low flows. I'm going to have to get to that valley sometime in the fall. Thanks for taking us along.

Great pictures! Noticed the bamboo rod with intermediates & agate stripper - what rod were you fishing?

Great Pics...love the area...I grew up in Chama as a young boy where I walked behind my father and when he hooked a big one - I got to land him. Will be going to the Headwaters this summer with my 3 boys for a backpacking campig trip to continue the tradition. Thank you.
