    Snack attack...streamside nibbles...dehydrated fruit.

I always have a packet of trail mix, streamside, tucked away in a pocket in my pack or cargo pants,
just to give my waning energy levels a kick in the @#$% when they need it most.
The mix can be a bit boring though....so to add a bit of variety to the mixture, afterall variety is the spice of life......I add my own dried fruit.

On this occasion I experimented with Strawberries, Peaches, Mango, Mandarins & Dragonfruit.
Mandarins & Dragonfruit were the stand outs.....Mandarins were sweet, sticky & chewy, while the funky Dragonfruit were full
of flavour (blackberryish) and tiny crunchy seeds.

    Before & After....

    Well worth the effort....

I have a dehydrator, sitting, stored on a shelf in the basement. You may have inspired me to find it and put it to use. Thanks

ksbioteacher.......ripe, sweet watermelon is also very more-ish.
They never last more than a couple of days...a sweet toothed house mouse see's to that.

Mems......sounds a little too good, I feel a headache coming on already !
