How I celebrated hitting the century mark.

I started my weight loss journey in June of 2011, as of this morning I am down 100lb from my highest weight of 370lb. Some buddies and I planned on riding the Brown Mountain loop and it just happened to coincide with hitting one of my goals.

We woke up to the first rain we have seen in months but decided to make a go of it anyways. By the time we got to the trail head things had cleared and the trail could not have been in better shape.

    Trail head.

    Getting ready

    Great trail

    Snacks provided...Huckleberries and Strawberries...yum

My parents spend their summers at Fish Lake so we dripped by their camp for a well deserved lunch!! At the 14.5mi mark I hit the wall and my legs gave out, cramped up and I was done. This was a much more challenging trail than the 20miler we took a few weeks back. I headed back to my folks camp and caught a ride back to the truck. The three amigos pushed on and finished the 19.5mi loop.

A great day with good friends...could not have imagined a better way to spend the day celebrating a mile stone.

I have been working hard at the weight loss for the past year and a half and I know I am getting results but it is still difficult to take compliments....not sure why. My Parents and Grand mother were making a big deal of what a drastic change I have made but I just knod and say thanks and look for ward to the uncomfortable topic to change. This morning my Mom sent me a side by side comparison from where I was last fall to today and I was impressed.

I guess I need to step back once in a while and realize how far I have come. I intend to loose another 40lb to get to my goal of 230 by the end of this year. Thanks all for the support.

    Congratulations!

I struggle with my own weight. I have completely come about in my attitude towards gaining weight and weight loss.

It is incredibly hard for some people to change their lifestyle in order to lose un-healthy weight.

You lost your weight by hard work and change and it was not easy.

You are awesome and I congratulate you.

I would like to hear more of the story.

Andrew, you are smaller now than I've EVER known you. Serious congrats, man. Awesome work. Those last few pounds should live in fear of their short time left!

So, aside from mountain biking... what's the story, man!?!?

Your wife and family are lucky - Daddy could likely be around a lot longer because of your hard work.
