Thread: Arizonan with Mysteries

    Hello From an Arizonan

Hey all. The name's Colton and I am seriously addicted to fly fishing. I am only 16 and am a convert from spin fishing. I started the obsession with a fly rod of my own last December. Since then I have broken that one but purchased three more, two of them customs. Fly fishing has grown on me fast and it is the most fun I've ever had. I recently started tying my own flies as well.

I live in Arizona so its a long ways away from me to get to trout streams. At least a three hours drive to wild fish, so I make the most of my trips. I have devoted the past eight to nine months hunting down the locations of the rarest existing trout species in Arizona, and I was privileged to find a handful of these elusive streams. they mean the world to me and are very hush-hush.

Anyways hello from the desert. Today it was 113, I need to escape to the high country.

Oh yeah, that stream also has browns...... and elk.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and share a special little part of me.

Nice report and intro Colton. I love the photos. You have started down the path for sure. Searching, finding, and fishing these little stream gems makes life really worthwhile. Welcome to the group.

I was 13 when the bug bit me here in Connecticut, 48 now. :)
It's a good kind of addiction and seeking out those hidden streams deep in the woods will always keep you young.
My wife and I have visited Arizona often, love Flagstaff & the White Mountains area. Need to get back out there for a visit.
    Welcome aboard!
    A.T.
