A Mountain Secret

I went wandering to a new spot that I had thought about for awhile yesterday. It turned out to be a great day on the stream. There was amazing wildlife, eagle's nesting, WWII fighter's flying above, and ideal water to explore. I am too tired to write a long report but I wanted to share the experience with you through the photo's I took. So here they are:


On the road early as usual...


My first look at a new place...

Catching these wild trout never gets old.


As I looked up to enjoy the beautiful weather I ended up spotting an eagle's nest. This time of year in Arizona always brings these beautiful birds to nest and raise their young.


Momma eagle keeping an eye on her nest. The sky was a little hazy out because of the smoke from a nearby fire.


Look into the light...


Flying low in formation just like on the history channel.


The stream begins to narrow....


Narrow or not it keeps producing fish after fish!


A tree of color and life and myself in the distance.


Not shy at all..

Long hours behind the glass, old world style fishing, hiking into the unknown, a variety of fish type's, a good friend, let's do it!

We are a few days from the start of something new.

That is one beautiful place. Nice pics. I love the orange/yellow tint to the scenes due to the light through the smoke from the fires.

I always hate to see a fire close to anyone of my streams.

However, it did make for very unique sky scape.

The smell of smoke was very evident that day and I hope they contain it ASAP.
