    Perfekt Day

    The heat is over!

Little thunderstorms brought some water to the dry streams in the last days. Since yesterday the waterlevel is back to normal and today the water is clear enough for fly fishing. 20°C and sunny - perfect conditions!

    The flies of the day:

and Copper Bead Hare's Ear Nymph in size #14.

    Edeltrouts,

Wonderful heartwarming photos, beautiful stream, gorgeous cane rod; and lovely fish! What more could anyone ask for? maybe a small snack to round it all off!

    edeltrouts,

It seems the season is already moving into early summer in your place. Your pictures are filled with beautiful green and flowers and I like them very much.
Did you use nymphs with an indicator? and did you fish nymphs in the evening? Just curious.

Looking at the photo,s thomas, you are weeks ahead, in the condition of your country side, (very nice). You are in good luck, to have water in the smaller streams.

    Hi Satoshi,

Normaly we try to avoid the use of Indicators here. The use of them is said to be unsporty. I use them in very rough water where spotting the fly line end is to difficult. For connecting fly line to leader I use Roman Moser Minicons. There is a little hot red in it. Bevore fishing I add some floatant to the Minicon. Thats my Indicator. If changes to wetfly or dryfly are neccessary, no problem. There is no other action to do.
I fish the Copper Bead Head Hare's Eares at night too. But I always try the dry fly first.

    Regards
    Thomas

    Thomas,

Thank you for answering my question.
Most of my fishing friends are dry fly purists. I also like to fish dry flies best but I often tend to go underwater with an unsporty indicator

So much emerald green foliage everywhere, very soothing to the eye.
Love the close up with the vivid red spots.....
Beer with 0% alcohol, hopefully with no less flavour.
    Nice post.
