Thread: Skinny trout, fat trout

if a professional fisherman like a heron, osprey, mink or otter gets to the fish before I do, that's okay with me because he needs the fish to feed his family.
    Ernest,
    Yes, you are absolutely right!

    Guys,

Thank you very much for your comments.

    Gus,
I was a bit surprised to see my post on the front page, but thank you.

    Adam,
Yes, on Friday, I used the completed bamboo rod you sent to me. On Saturday, I used my old #4 graphite rod as I thought I would need longer casts.

A few days ago, I talked with my fishing friend living in a city close to Sendai, Miyagi prefecture. Though he is busy working on his house, which was flooded with tsunami, he told me his greatest worry now is whether tsunami may affect annual ugui (a dace-like fish) run from the sea in Natori river , which has been one of his best fly fishing targets.

    Satoshi,

Wonderful! This is the first post I’ve read on this site and I don’t think I could have picked a better one to start with. Until reading your post, I didn’t realize how troubled I was about the recent events in Japan. Your story of apprehension and anxiety due to the ‘quake, tsunami and nuclear disasters merged with the renewal and optimism of spring, fishing and rebuilding has given me a new hope for the Japanese people. Thank You.

    Satoshi,

I really enjoyed reading your thread; and the photos were great! so pleased to hear you are OK!! A terrible disaster your country has experienced; and just like the lady colleague at your office, it saddens me to see the media reports of such devastation. I just pray that the people affected by this awful disaster, will find the strength and courage to rebuild their lives for a future happiness!

The fat fish looked in fine condition; and lets hope the skinny ones learn to catch more food (Flies) Thanks for sharing your fishing with us!

    Take care

    Regards

    Andy, Mostyn,

Thank you very much for your comments.
I don't know what will happen to our country next, but, ....well... you say every cloud has a silver lining, right?
