    Hi from western Mass

    I have just started fishing this summer at age 54, and I am worried that I started too late to enjoy all the facets of this great hobby. Currently I am fascinated by the small brook behind my house in Amherst MA. I caught 3 wonderful little brook trout there this summer and it got me hooked on small stream fishing. Recently I broke the tip section of my little fly rod, so I put my reel on a 6' spinning rod and kept fly fishin'! Well, I tried anyway, didn't catch anything. My rod is fixed now and I am looking forward to a flexible rod again!

    Thanks, gstrand. Before I moved here to paradise, I lived many years in Denton, TX. Pretty boring land around there, not like Round Rock.
