    Hootie,
You are lucky, to live in such a beautiful place, so close to that wild brookie

    Westcountry,
Below that gate, is the most prolific place, on this stream, I can fish there for hours and they continue to rise

I really do not remember, I have that box in my workshop for long time, and when I decide to separated my small flies in 2 (small flies and very small flies) it was the perfect fit.

Boxing day saw me being told by the boy that his cold said stay in bed so i left home after scraping ice from inside and outside the car
,and parking at the fishery not in the usual car park with its wee hill track back to the road .
Wise move here is the car park

Over that bridge there is a short track with a slope up to the road ,did not fancy trying to get up that with out 4 wheel drive .
Cold all day might just have gone over freezing point for an hour ,but the magic of modern thermal clothing kept me and Vince warm .
Our first walk of the road bank kept us busy for an hour or more and not one fish was seen ,bar a 2inch grayling and a disturbed pike of all of a couple of pounds .
So it was time for the Kelly kettle and wrap our hands around mugs of tea ,whilst the kettle boiled Vince spied a rise in the cooks pool, and went to work ,

    And this was the result

Later I found a pod of fish and had a good afternoon session with 8 to 10 fish including a brownie of a pound and a half .

rather glad when the light went and was able to defrost the finger tips !

    Nic ,
on the day i had fish on #18 pink bugs and size 20 beadheaded pts with a pinky orange dubbed collar .
I am testing a set of flys for my days that have been dressed for me and the fishery .
I get a fair few non dressers on my days and they need flys and i dont have the time or will to dress for them ,so have given the job to a rather good new pro dresser in scotland .
Will try to get a piccy or two up of some of his offerings ,his interpretation of jaxes roughy is superb !
