Thread: Fishing In The Fall

    Fishing In The Fall

Fall fishing is my favorite time for obvious reasons, went out to one of my local Streams across the border in NW New Jersey, this Stream has all three species of Trout reproducing naturally although I did not hit the Grand Slam yesterday, I have in the past

My Arsenal, Thanks for the Bombers Brk Trt, I use them alot and they work, I tie mine with Cree hackle

Here is my version of Fall Colors Deer Hair tail, light olive dubbing and grizzly and brown hackle, with orange tread

This run produced a nice Brown.

Had a very nice day with plenty of Wild Beauties brought to hand, not many of these days left, so we better enjoy while we can.

Great post, I don't know how I missed it.

Your selection of flies is right on. They would work well on my streams.

    Thanks,

    Brk Trt

    Re: Fishing In The Fall

It would be nice to fish in such a stream in the forest with beautiful falling leaves.
We can never do that here, because the season ends before leaves turn into autumn colors.

There's something very special about the Autumnal change in colours, the trees shedding their leaves; and those cold crisp mornings! Beautiful.
