Going to Montana

Aloha, next week I am headed to Montana to fish low water and a quick jump over to Idaho for some steelhead action. I will be hitting this alpine lake again with my son Luke. It is loaded with yellowstone cutthroats. Last time I only brought a 3wt and couldn't land the big 25+ inch trout that cruise the banks. I plan on fishing the Bitterroot, Big Hole, Blackfoot and Rock Creek then hit the salmon in Idaho for some steelies. Here is another picture from that lake, Luke is now a junior in high school, so it should be a great time for the both of us.

I will post a story and some pictures when we get back. I can't wait to see fall colors again, it has been over 25 years since I have seen the leaves change. I miss that here in Hawaii. Wish us luck, Mems.

I am sure you are looking forward to the trip. I know I would be. Plus it is a trip you can enjoy with your son, even better. Take lots of pics for you to look back on and to share with us.

if you have not fished the big hole you are in for a real treat. not many people, big, aggressive trout, and beautiuful scenery. hope you post some pics and a story when you get back.
