Catch-and-Release in Germany
I read a post on one of our local forums that contained a link to a New York Times articles on catch-and-release. In the article a UK-based fish biologist said that catch-and-release is illegal in Germany. I left Germany about seven years ago and fished frequently in Mosel feeder streams upriver from Trier. Catch-and release was not illegal, though I do seem to recall it was illegal in some areas of Germany, maybe based on state or local rules?
My question: Is it now illegal in all of Germany to practice catch-and-release?
