Upon departing the house this morning I had every intention of chasing bigger fish on a local river. As I approached my destination I happened to pass a small tributary that I have driven by countless times...and then a question popped into my head "I wonder if the stream is a nursery for the river?" So I slammed on the brakes and cut into the parking area. Needless to say, I never made it to the river.

The stream isn't anything too special to look at and it skirts a busy state highway but it does hold a healthy population of wild rainbows. Many fish were brought to hand, ranging from little 3-4 inchers up to a 12 inch fish or two that are more than ready for the river. Please excuse my Blackberry pictures, I still haven't gotten around to picking up a new camera.
