    Start of the Season

The weekend just passed saw the my first two fishing trips of the new trout season here in South Wales, and although the fishing was hard, and the number of fish VERY low, it was great finally be back on the home streams after five long, cold months :D

    Here's to warmer days :)

    Hi Brk Trt,

The fly is a goose biot paradun. I love tying with biots, they make a lovely segmented and buggy looking body. I also fish an olive version which work's well for the blue wings here in South Wales :)

    Re: Start of the Season

Hi daleconnally, I take all of my fishing pics with an Olympus Mju 850sw waterproof camera. Does what I need it to, and easily. It can be a bit of a pain in low-light conditions, but what point-and-click cameras aren't. I tweak my images ever so slightly before I put them online, I might auto-adjust the levels, and maybe sharpen marco shots, but that's it :)

There are newer, higher resolution cameras out there now, but in my honest opinion (and unless you're a pro) you don't need anything past 8.0 megapixels. The fact that the Mju 850sw is waterproof is a God send too, not that I take many underwater shots, but if it starts raining hard or, in my case, you fall in, you won't have a problem :)
