Greetings from Lorena, TX (outside Waco). Heard about the board from mickfly and Danny S. I love small stream fishing, both warmwater and coldwater. Favorites include the Pecos and Rio Santa Barbara in NM, and the North Mills and Watauga in NC. Teach Outdoor Recreation at Baylor University.

Like the Wautauga, huh? Up on top of the ridge near Boone and Grandfather Mountain, or downstream where it becomes a float river? I have fished it up top when I was searching around trying to find Wilson Creek. Next time, the Wautauga may be a destination stream.

Only part I've fished is near Boone/Foscoe. The stretch near Appalachian Angler. Broke my heart last year when we lost the area upstream of the golf course to private land. :cry:

Heard the float section is even better, but I've always been on the cheap when I was there.
