Thread: Excited at the prospect of?

    Excited at the prospect of?

Oh, Yes! It's almost here! Mother nature is beginning to lift the Vail of a long Winter; and the buds of Spring are showing themselves along the hedge-rows and on the trees! The days are getting slightly longer and the sun seams to climb higher in the sky! Everything looks brighter! I'm getting quite excited at the prospect of fishing once again on our local streams and rivers. The anticipation of what a new season will bring? is always exciting; and I can hardly wait for March 3rd, 2010!
When I can one again visit this stream!

    Mostyn,

I'm happy for you in the fact that you are seeing signs of Spring and that things are budding up.
Wish I could say the same thing but Western Maryland, where I live, just got hammered with nearly 3' of snow this past weekend and tomorrows forecast is calling for another 6-12" .It makes me wanna :rpuke: Even if things were budding here I wouldn't be able to see them
    my front yard

This was before the backhoe dug me out

I think it's going to be at least another month before I can look forward to even a hint of Spring.

If I would have gone out in that stuff I would have been the snowman! I sunk clear up to my waist in 2 different drifts trying to get to the truck.Even where there weren't any drifts it was well above my knees :wtf:

The main reason is that while all of this is great when you are 12 years old.At 62 it doesn't hold the same magic ;)

Mostyn my dear fellow will you stop bragging about how your season is nearly starting anew when us poor souls up North in Gods Country are some weeks of the new season. I really think you should show a little more tact... :shh:

Just goes to show how deceiving a photo can be! That pool in the photo is less than 5ft, wide! STREAM!

    I agree; Roll on Spring!
