Brooklyn has fly fishermen. Several!
Howdy everybody. I'm not actually cool, but I am Kyle. I've lived in Brooklyn for 2 years, from Montana by way of Seattle. I learned to fly fish on the Bighorn, which isn't exactly intuitive for a self-taught 10 year old. But it taught me patience, something I am grateful for when I'm stuck at the Holland Tunnel for 90 minutes after a day of relaxing on a Jersey trout stream. I'm used to fishing medium to larger streams, and I've found that fishing most "medium-sized" Eastern streams requires excellent small stream technique. I'm hoping to share some thoughts on fly-eating trees, black bears, nettles, sun burns, and feisty wild trout.
