The micro buggers are some of my favorite flies to fish under the surface. These two are tied on a #14 nymph hook

I enjoy similar flies on occasion. Nice ties.
how do you like to fish these? when fishing streamers I tend to throw as big as I can get away with so micro buggers are new to me.
I dead drift them like a nymph, or I use a slow retrieve with short strips of the line. I fish these both up and down stream.Originally Posted by Sean

I'm going to try to get out tomorrow and hook a few wild ones.

Both of these are tied with tungsten beads for maximum sinking speed. These really excel in the plunge pools that are very common in the streams I fish.
sweet wee flies
mini bugggers also happen to be VERY effective smallmouth bass and panfish flies especially in cream or olive.
