Trout at Portal by 3creeks

I am going to run a contest to be judged by the membership.

The contest entry will be a picture of trout in their native habitat.

I enjoy difficult tasks where the outcome is a beautiful result. It is an added plus when we all can share the sum of the task at hand. What we will see is a fly angler that has a good camera and the skill to operate it either sub-surface and or above the surface. That angler will have to move quietly through nature and capture the moment, bringing it back to us.

The above photograph is from a friend and is a perfect example of an excellent entry.

There are many other angles and techniques that could be used. I'm going to enter the contest myself because the contest will be judged by the membership, I believe it will be fair.

When the contest begins, place a post of your image and a story how you captured the moment in the appropriate contest forum.

Keep the image to 1024 pixels wide x 768 tall. My suggestion is to shoot the image in the highest quality on your digital camera or with the best film, shutter speed and aperture settings on your SLR camera and then have the film developed and digitized by the best developing process you can afford. I plan on shooting both digital and SLR.

Multiple entries are appreciated and will remain the property of the owner with smallstreams.com reserving the right to use the image at this web site to illustrate contest entry.

The contest will run for for a full year and starts Jan 1, 2010.

At this moment, there is no prize. I believe the prize is the experience in sharing your image with this community however, if you have an idea of a better prize than that, feel free to PM me.
