The Church of the Wandering Stream
(From Fishing Music II, by David A. Thompson, Woody Overtones Music, ASCAP)

Where do you go if you’ve lost all direction?
…and where do you go when you’re feeling alone?
I know a place that can bring you redemption.
It’s almost like heaven, but it feels like home.
It isn’t far if you know where you’re looking,
just head down the road and head out of town.

Follow the path where it leads to the valley,
and soon you will hear, for it’s a glorious sound.

Where mountains rise through endless skies,
and the birds sing of bright angel dreams.
I’ve seen the light in the cold rushing water,
And it shows me the way,
to the Church of the Wandering Stream.

Wade in the water to wash away sorrow,
cast all your troubles far from the shore.
Find yourself lost in a world far from lonely,
where catching the rainbow is better than gold.

Where mountains rise through endless skies,
and the birds sing of bright angel dreams.
I’ve seen the light in the cold rushing water,
And it shows me the way,
to the Church of the Wandering Stream.

Hard times, they will find you,
and yes, you will fall.
But try to have faith and come to the place
where the world doesn’t matter at all.

It’s where you can go if you’ve lost all direction,
and where you can go when you’re feeling alone.
I know a place that can bring you redemption.
It’s almost like heaven, but it feels like home.

Where mountains rise through endless skies,
and the birds sing of bright angel dreams.
I’ve seen the light in the cold rushing water,
And it shows me the way,
to the Church of the Wandering Stream…

I’ve seen the light…
