That's great! Living, as I do, where the water is ice covered at least 5 months of the year, that video sure got me thinking!

I never bring my fly rod to a frozen lake, because I figured that the hole in the ice would have to be twice the length of the rod. Who knew!!!:wink:

Good practice for casting, you wouldn't spook the fish standing next to the hole. I still think the whole leverage principle would be pretty weak. Mems.

I love ice fishing, I used to go fishing with my dad when I was a little kid and that period is quite an important on in my memories. Would love to go again.

My first thought was "He is not gonna try to cast into a hole in the ice" I was chuckling when he did, until that fish grabbed on! Thats awesome
