Rivers and Streams of South Wales!
Hi All,
My passion is Fly Fishing on the Rivers and Small Streams of South Wales! My fishing season begins on the 3rd, of March and never ends! From March to September I fish for wild brown trout; then I continue fishing the rivers and streams for Grayling, until the trout season begins again in March. I love fishing the small overgrown streams with a 6,or 7ft, lite-line fly-rod, the beauty of the countryside, the hike needed to get there and the pleasure of fishing for the most beautiful wild brown trout, you'll ever encounter! when I'm not fishing the small wild streams and tributaries, you'll find me fishing on the River Usk, or the River Taff; and occasionally the River Wye, all of which hold a good head of "Brown Trout" Sewin (sea trout) and Salmon, also a good variety of coarse fish and Grayling (the Ladies of the Stream) a coarse cousin to the brown trout. I fish for Grayling from September to March, the "Silver Ladies" provide us with some excellent fly fishing throughout the winter months, Well; until the trout season begins again!! Here's a few photos !!

Looks very much like the area I live in here in Maryland. My fathers ancestry can be traced back to Welsh/English origins and my Moms ancestry is traceable to German/Irish roots. It's no wonder trout fishing is in my blood :D

Re: Rivers and Streams of South Wales!
Nice snaps and write up. Believe it or not we have Grayling down here in the desert. It's not uncommon to score a "badge" down here with Apache, Grayling, Brown, Brookie, Rainbow and even a few bass on some of the lower forks. All in a day.
Not hardcore enough?
Try smoking reels down to your backing in the sea of cortez then driving North to the high country for the ultimate one day burner filled with a memory filled journey like no other. Have a few hours left in the 24 hour day? shoot to Lee's Ferry from the Apache White Mountains and tug on a few Blue Ribbon tailwater bows and browns.
How do I know this can happen in a day?
Did it... :geek:

...and wrote about it year after year here.
