Hello from Troutgeezer.

How have I missed this site for so long? Finally found a gang who shares my passion for solitude, altitude, and (often) not-so-selective fish. Tho I am from the SF bay area, the west slope Sierra holds my home waters, from Yosemite down to the San Joaquin River system. We are fortunate to have diversity here: you will find 'bows, browns, and, higher up, Brookies and the occasional Golden.

For my rigs, I alternate between a TFO 2 wt and a mid flex Orvis T3 4 wt. I'm getting reacquainted with my old Fenwick glass stick, tho, loving that noodle more and more.

I tie a bit and am into futzing with leader formulas: I'm hoping to learn lots from the smallstreams forum!

Welcome! I grew up in Escalon. Spent lots of time in the mountains east of there between Truckee and Yosemite growing up... then after Cal Poly moved to Porterville and had the Southern version for a decade. You have a nice playground. :)
