here is a picture of the big spring on the metolius in central OR..the log on left is about 3' in diameter,the 2nd is in the high cascades looking at mount hood.

I fished the Metolius one fall several years back. Beautiful water. I landed a few rainbows and a nice brown. The fish were tough to catch and the nights were cold in the tent. The bulls were off spawning higher up above Camp Sherman. Oregon has many fine waters.

This isnt the prettiest or has the best fish but its half a mile from my door and is somewhere I can escape to for the last hour of daylight...and many a good seat trout runs through there when the stream is in spate...
