Chef, try to work an angle on a Sage 1 to 000-weight blank. That's the deal, I'll wind it up for you no problem. I'm after a 000-weight blank myself. A little touch on the guides and all and you have exactly what you want.
You are a technician, don't settle.
Adam I'm still on the hunt...trying to get the best price to load a nice DT on it to boot.
We differ there, in plastic lite lines, I preference a WF plastic line. I'm not even sure they make a 000-weight WF.
Anyway, I'm glad to see a technician get after it.
There's a guy on UK e-bay listing a couple of light rods. Don't know if it'll be any use to you price wise plus whatever import duty you'd pay ..... also he says post to UK only but if you're interested and he won't change his posting stance I could help you around that.

There's this one from closer to home as well.

My nephew was thinking of selling his 000wt TXL with line as well but you'd be into the whole import duty thing again.
Good luck in your search.
Jim
Pale good stuff thanks!
Yes Sage has a line out for the 00-000 that I'd like to try - Quiet DT will float like a parachute. Had a DT on the T&T and it landed like a soft kiss.
I know that Sage used to make a WF000F line, but it was and is not readily available. Right after the 000 became available, they dripped the QT WF lines and went to QDTII, which, for small dries and SMALL nymphs it would work ok.Quote:

I'm a WF caster as well but I do love the DT on the ultra light rigs. Sage claims that line will load from 000-5wt. Hmmm. I need to cast one before the hit.Quote:

I use a Sage Quiet Double Taper II 1 wt line on my SPL. It works beautifully with small bead head nymphs as well as dries up to size 14.
