This one is a more recent discovery for me but is on of the most beautiful steelhead and coastal cutthroat streams that I have seen.

A rare and wonderful thing in Louisiana, this one in the Kisatchie National Forest. It is my favorite place, though a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I live in the swamps and bayous along the central coast. I go three or four times a year, it's tough fishing, a fickle, temperamental creek, but a joy to be on at any time.
