Hatches Emerger--variation
I'm new to fly tying and have been really having a good time this winter learning new materials and techniques and such.
Having a particularly good time with soft hackle variations...there are so many possibilities.
David Hatch from New Hampshire, USA is the originator of the pattern.
16--rust thread, wood duck tail, peacock quill, peacock herl and hungarian partridge for this one.
The second with camel thread and a bit of black ice dubbing behind the eye.
This fly is very effective around these parts.

Great flies.
Those would be good fished most anywhere.

Nice flies jmcg, I really like the 1st one with the rusty orange thread - that would be my favourite one of the 2.
