Tasmania....sadly only for a week.
Just returned from a quick week long trip to Tasmania,
seeing family members, bushwalking, with a little trout fishing thrown in.
Will return again after Christmas, when the weather warms, for a more fish oriented journey.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
The planning stage.

Baby wombat nestled safely between her mothers legs. Uh Oh... she knows I'm there.

Brookies only waters. Lk Plimsoll onthe left & Lk Selina on the right, a rugged, wind ravaged wilderness area.

Gingerbread Hut, Mt Rufus. Cute, little emergency shelter.

A favourite stream I can never seem to stay away from, fished her 2years ago & it hasn't changed a bit,
tea coloured with dark, dense rainforested banks, used to be a rainbows only water,
now infiltrated with browns. Some things change, some stay the same.

The 'Vale'.
Didn't catch a sausage, spooked maybe 9 fish hanging under the undercut banks…a little frustrating.
Then I misjudged my footing & went a fell arse over tit…tussock grass spearing straight up the nose,
...to make things worse, I must have dislodged my lunch from my day pack at the same time…..& lost that too.
Fishless, cold & hungry, I treated myself to a counter lunch at the nearest local.
Mmmm, porterhouse steak, pepper sauce & vegies + garlic bread rolls, next to roaring open fire.

Brk Trt, soupmix & baileydav, thanks fellas.
In reality, it probably takes a few days to wind down from work & really
start relaxing/ enjoying yourself. Then before you know it, your heading back
on that flight home !

I like that small stream, very beautiful,
All on that island looks unique to me,
I enjoyed the photos, and I hope to see more after Christmas,
Thank you,
Nic
Re: Tasmania....sadly only for a week.
Thanks for the kind words Satoshi & Nic.
The best time for fishing in Tasmania is usually after Christmas.
But I enjoy the crisp coolness in the air & the snow cover when I go walking or climbing in the mountains,
we don't get much in the way of consistant snow here in Australia, so I try to enjoy while its here.
