Day two I got to go out with Edge Rods owner Alex and fish the flats. I got this nice bone on a TFO Impact 8wt and the new Atoll reel. Both worked wonderfully.

The bones really liked the bunny gotcha on the white flats. I fished one single fly all morning. I think the black eyes make a difference. It looks like a shrimp.

Alex got into the bone action with this nice one. He later got largest bone of the trip a nice 10lber, although the size was hotly debated.

This is Alex with a nice peach faced trigger. Very tough fish to catch. I stood over a rock and beat the water with my rod when the fish tried to break him off. Alex asked me the latin for this one, since I knew the names for most of the other fish. I told him this one was "Tough fishus that screws up your hookus"

Later that evening I got this nice omilu on a Rainy's bush pig and the Edge 12wt with the new TFO Atoll reel. It was a killer combo that caught many big fish. The Edge 12 is a dream to cast more like a 10wt with plenty of backbone.

The days turned into a blurr of great fish and drunken nights with even bigger tales of the days events. The milkfish action was unreal. Jesse finally landed this beauty after hooking two last time only to have them lost boat side. He was a happy camper after this beauty and it was on his first cast.

Not to be out done I got this beauty on the Edge 8wt. I hooked two others who got the hook pulled by other fish. I hooked all three in a span of 90 seconds on of all things an unweighted wooly bugger. This one ran through the school almost jumped in an Ikari house boat and played leap frog over a couple of huge manta rays. 40 minutes later he was at the boat. The are a blast on the fly if you don't have to sit there and cast at them for three hours like others in our group succumbed to.

Last day I got this huge trigger. We went hunting for big GT's

Allister got his first and has now given up steelhead fishing.

Shawn got a beast and big GT for the trip. I hooked a monster that took out 300yds and then broke the 60lb leader. It was big how big I will never know.
