Hi Guys n Gals! New member here from SE Minnesota in the heart if the driftless area. Mostly fish the tiny freestone streams around here, occasionally the Root River but not with my fly rod. I don't get out fishing as much as I'd like, life seems to keep me rather busy the last couple yrs. current setup is a TFO Pro 8'6" 4wt paired with a Cabelas Wind River reel. Also have a cheap Shakespeare 5/6 wt that is my "truck rod", meaning I keep it in the truck just in case I have the good luck to be passin by a spot I just can't help but fish for a few minutes. And if it gets broke or stolen I won't lose any sleep over it.
I am a member over at North American Flyfishing Forum too, and go by Mnflyfish, just in case any of you boys are over there too.
Tight Lines!

Welcome, from an old member of this site living in the drifted area of NW Wisconsin, three hours by car to the north.

You and I must be the only fellers in here.
I have family in St. Croix and my mother is buried in the cemetery up on the hill. Went to school in Luck for a year while living in Atlas. My aunt n uncle own a golf course up there somewhere too.

Welcome! I have a special place in my heart for the Driftless. Always try to make a trip or three down there every year. I'm up close by Ely. Pretty fair drive North.

Welcome, I too try and make it to the driftless once or twice a year for a few days. I feel an intense affinity for that country.
