I am looking to up grade from my vintage Thompson Model A vise to a new one.
I have looked at several including the PEAK and Renzetti and HRH.
Any suggestions and reviews?
Thanx,

I've used an HMH for years. At one point I was a vise addict. Bottom line for me was the HMH Standard did everything I asked, with no flashy bells or whistles, and they are bulletproof. I used Renzettis, Regals, a Nor-Vise and others.

Honestly, the only one I liked *almost* as much as the HMH was the Danvise, but QC on those is sort of hit and miss.

Vises are one of those things that fall to personal preference - but after trying a bunch, I settled on the HMH, and haven't looked back for over ten years now.

I use the Peak vise. In order to make tying easier on this vice don't forget to get the midge jaws. When you tye smaller flies its much easier to get closer to the hook. The vices are made up the road from me so it also convenent. I have mine for about 10 years now. Are there better vices out there? Yes there probably are its all in what you get used to.

Found a good deal online that included some accessories and it should be here on Monday.
Will probably get the midge jaws in the future.
Thanks for the notes,
