Very nice. Those rock wings are really out of the water compared to last summer and I thought last summer had low flows. I'm going to have to get to that valley sometime in the fall. Thanks for taking us along.

Great pictures! Noticed the bamboo rod with intermediates & agate stripper - what rod were you fishing?

It's a 5 weight payne 101 I use for nymping and windy days. Made by a buddy of mine. He's banned from this site.

that looks like a nice trip. cool pics. i recognize the san juan, but i am not sure about the other creek. is that the upper chama?

Great Pics...love the area...I grew up in Chama as a young boy where I walked behind my father and when he hooked a big one - I got to land him. Will be going to the Headwaters this summer with my 3 boys for a backpacking campig trip to continue the tradition. Thank you.
