It's going to get quite cold this weekend.
Good luck if you venture out.

What a beauty BrkTrt.Brook trout are my favorite fish. That fish looks a lot like a Southern Appalachian strain trout.

beautiful colors on those brook trouts,

on your blog I see some nice streamers,
and I want to tie some on this winter,
unfortunately in my streams are no brook trouts, only brownies,
are some of that streamers work for brownies in small streams? and which one of them?

thank you
nic

Streamers will work on browns, and work well. Most browns are meat eaters and will take streamers that represent a forage fish. While brook trout will take flashy colorful patterns, browns prefer realistic colors found in the natural world.
Some good patterns for browns would be Gray Ghost, Black Ghost, and Black Nosed Dace. Give them a try.
