This summer has taken me to phenomenal fishing destinations. I started up in Oregon for a 4 day float down the Deschutes River. After that I took a cruise in Alaska with my wife and took a day to chase grayling in its native habitat. I spent a few weeks after that back in the Adirondacks and tempted brookies and browns in ice cold streams. Finally back in Arizona where the streams are a little bit low, but the fish are still looking up. I love summer...

Nice pictures, How do you like the BVK rod? I paired mine up with a lamson reel for bonefish, but the drag got smoked. I now have the new BVK reel and love it. It is nice to have a light outfit. I have the 6wt and the 8wt for bones. Mems.

Thanks Mems. I really like the BVK. I also have it in a 6 weight and like you said, the rod is noticeably lighter than others in the same class. I was extremely happy with the sensitivity and accuracy of the BVK and, although I like slower action rods, can see why people get used to the fast action. I should have a full review coming up on my blog in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for the kind words.
