View Full Version : Struggling on a Sunny Somerset Stream

Glorious sunshine tempted me out onto the upper Exe again last Sunday. The upper reaches rarely fish very well early season but it was so warm I thought it might come alive. Well it didn't! Total catch half a dozen salmon parr and smolts.
So was it a disappointing day - hell no! Buzzards and ravens overhead, dippers whizzing up and down the stream, red deer and pheasants creeping about the woods. Give it another month and I might even see some trout!
