Yesterdays rains managed to bring the water level up on this small stream. It also moved some of the trout around.
The water temps were able to crack the 50 degree mark, and the land along the stream is starting to green up, which I find to be just wonderful.
As I reached the stream I tied on a Bomber and sent it off to seek out a wild one or two. After an hour of fishing this fly the ony result was a single rise. At that point I decieded to try something else. Searching through the fly box I came up with a little wet fly, Dark Cahill. As I worked the fly along the various pools and runs it was to the trouts liking. Quite a few wild gems came to hand.

This crystal clear run produced a vicious hit.

And this wild tiger trout came to hand.

Awesome catch that tiger. Looks like a fantastic stream.
Thanks for the motivation to get out and wet a fly of my own ...

Never would think that your water is thousands of miles away from here.
The vegetation is so similar to my region. Only the wild brookies are missed here.

Thanks for sharing
Thomas

LeeG,
The tiger is a sterile fish and cannot reproduce. They are the offspring of a brown and a brook trout who will at times complete a successful spawn.

Thomas,
Yes I have noticed the simalarities in the streams in your posts. There are wonderful small trout streams in many countries.
