They both look good.
But that caddis emerger seems it would be deadly.

Well done

Great ties Jax, are wonder wings hard to make.........or should I say very fiddly to do?

Hi Jeanne; Wonder wings are a bit fiddly but, with a little bit of trial and error and a lot of spit on your fingers. I have no doubt you will master making them quite easily. Just as long as you are having fun. Jax

If you would like a SXS of that emerger. PM me your Email address as I seem to have lost it in my last Puter Crash. Jax

Jax,
I like the emerging caddis pupa! Very nice.
I tie a similar fly with the wonderwing wing buds for fall use.
This one is a little scruffy, but it`s straight out of the fly box.
Yours will go over great here in the spring. I will try to duplicaate it.

Hi wjg; Nice fly there. I think that the scraggly look makes the fly even more meaty to the trout. Hope my pattern serves you well. Have Fun. Jax

I really like that emerger, too!
Looks downright tasty and I would know because i've had trout telepathize me.
:D

Thanx,
I like the "scraggly look" and try for it with the dubbing blend and picking out hairs.
I was more embarrassed about the tie off and head finish on this one.
It's a good tool/learning experience to look at macro photos of your ties. (Small flies and old eyes)

I agree about Macro photography showing up any imperfections in One's tying. I had no idea how sloppy I had become with my tying until I started my Step by Step program." Ding! Ding! Wakeup! Call.
As my one Old Friend used to say. "There is a great deal of difference between Planned Scruffy and just pure plain bad tying." Still Having Fun. Jax
