Hi there,
some of you, Adam in particular, may remember me from the old days.
I live in Holland, Europe, and have been flyfishing for more than 30 years now.
I tie all of my flies myself,
and love doing this.
See some people in here that I have met in te past in the UK,
like WCB.
Do you still have the fly-boxes Adam?
Cheers, Hans

Hans
you are remembered from days long gone
Oh, I do!
Hans and I are old friends, Gus, please let him in. I will see if I have the keys...
Gus already fixed you up.
Have you tried Tenkara yet?
Straight up your alley.
Good to see you here.
To be honest Adam, untill a few days ago, if somebody would have asked me what Tenkara is, I would have guessed it were a new car- or moror-cycle brand...
Like the Toyota Tenkara.
From what I've seen on this site and you-tube it looks quit interesting, maybe in the future I will give it a go...
At the time being I am preparing a trip to the Bahamas, in approx 9 weeks I will take the plain to Exuma,
where, like last year, I will stay at:

Last year I spent almost 2 weeks at this place,
followed by a 9 days stay in Newark due to the Icelandic ash-cloud.
Great place to stay, highly recommended, loads of big bonefish, endless flats.
And Norman Wells, the manager is a great character.
Here is a report:
You may have to scroll a wee bit to read it:

Later this year my girlfriend and I will join a charity mission to the Brasilian rainforest, where we will do some work in an orphanage.
Now, there seems to be a little river in the area, holding peacock-bass and piranha...
So I might be tempted to bring a little flyrod with a few mouse-imitations, just out of curiosity....
Who knows what happens.
Seems to me that G sent me a few mice with hooks in their butts, I will take a look and photograph...
I hope to read more from you.
Yes, I found MICE!
I will try to remember and photograph them for you.
Gerard is a Masterclass tyer, the pattern has a weedguard too.
I would love to catch piranha or some other toothy creature on the little bastard (whoops) buggers...
