On a recent trip to the San Juan; the river fished okay. A bit slower than usual but there were some nice fish caught. The river was flowing at 500 CFS and clear. Weather was cool on Saturday and Sunday was clear and mild. Here is Carmella, an exchange student at UNM with a trout - lucky trout.

The fish hit the typical SJ patterns with the Chocolate Emerger the go to fly. This Ray W. (Carmella's dad) from MN with the best fish of the trip. This was his first fly fishing trip for trout.

There was a front that moved in the week prior and we got a little wrap around weather from it. Fortunately, it sprinkled during the evening hours. Here is a fish from the upper flats area of the area.

I don't recognize the logo on his hat, though.
