when only few days remains from this trout season, I decide to go in to a high land trip,
first day we climb through a forest and alpine land, only to camp in the evening,
strong wind and rain keep us in tents almost a day long,

well, after the rain is stop

Hi Nic,

Love the mountain vistas, crystal clear, boulder strewn alpine streams,
& the fact your at the mercy of the elements, which looks like it
can be really wild & woolly at times....

Beautiful, petite torpedoes from the shingly depths...... well worth the walk in.

Roughly, which area of the world are we drooling over ?

thank you guys, for your comments,

Ofuros,

that area is in southern carpathian mountains, in Romanian carpathians, and there is over 90 glacial lakes, because of short time we only see one of them, I hope too see many in the future

I know nothing about Romania but I certainly wasn't expecting to see anything like this.

Well, if you had not told us, and I had been forced to take a guess, would have thought the area was somewhere along the border of Wyoming/Montana - east of Yellowstone National Park (USA). Maybe GOD used the same mold to create both areas!

Beautiful trout. By being isolated in the High Country, they look like they may have become a unique strain of brown trout.

Erics Beetle,

Very nicely done! I especially love the photo of the person fishing the wind blown lake. Looks like the lake is at the end of the world and there is nothing after it. Very cool!
