Spent the day on one of my favorite streams and brought several nice fish to hand. This particular brookie was an extremely healthy fish for this stream. I landed a nice 15 inch brown with beautiful colors who ended up being a little camera shy. I'll have to go back and fool him again.

Just like others have mentioned, that is a beautiful picture of a Brook Trout! We don't have them in the UK, I love the colours of the fins and those white markings on them! Great photo BTW.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I absolutely love the enthusiasm that these fish put into attacking a fly. It is always when you least expect it and makes you think you've latched into a monster. The color schemes that are painted onto these guys are also amazing. Thanks again.

This is my favorite time of year to fish hoppers in Arizona for brook trout.

I used to do this with my tenkara rods, alas, I only use one pattern now so I mimic the presentation by doing a tuck under cast and SPLATTT! with my sakasa kebari. I have not seen any difference in catch rates. They so attack hoppers, you just have to splat it in there with stealth...

Great thought, I'm in there with you on this one.
