I spent a few hours walking through the woods along a small stream.
Although I carried a fly rod, the thought of fishing a stream so low and clear would be a real challenge. The streams banks also hold much beauty, and is there for our enjoyment. I spent several minutes watching the brookies scurry for cover as I approached, and after resting the waters I dropped a small attractor pattern that was given to me from a fly tyer in Japan. No sooner had the fly started to drift a mini brookie took it, he was small but oh so beautiful. This played out several times, and though not a one fish came to hand, the day was bountiful.

Enjoy,

I love it! So nice sometimes to see the wee fish darting here and there as you disturb a pool or section of the stream. Very low water there, really does make the fish spooky! What a beautiful little stream. Love the photos.

I have to admit, upon seeing the fallen leaf, I thought "NO, not yet!" Don't get me wrong, I love fall but I am not ready for summer to be over.
