I got a somewhat late start Tuesday, arriving at the stream about 7:30 AM.
The sun was just starting to fliter through the trees and hitting the water in places. I tied on a Bomber and started fishing a few runs that usually hold fish. Soon I was into a fine brown, fishing along I managed to hook another in the tails of the riffles.
As I walked downstream I came to a long slick pool that will give up some trout when its darker, but the sun was already there. I did notice a rise or two in the pool, but no visable insects. I cast the fly and with some mends on the drift to position the fly to where the rises were. Soon the Bomber was molested by a fine brown. That pool over the course of an hour, with me resting it for a few spells gave up 4 browns.
This spring was giving up cold water at 58 degrees,

This guy landed on my arm and waited to have his picture taken,

This is the pool that gave up some beautiful browns,

This is a 7ft 3wt, I bet an 8 footer would have worked better on this pool,
