this website is cool. since i'm new here i figured i might post some photos of trips from the past. at least until i can get out on the water again!

october is a great time to be at elevation anywhere, with the sierras in northern california no exception. folks familiar with area will recognize the mountains below, and can probably figure out the stream, which is no secret. but the farther upstream you go, the more interesting things seem to get.

this stream has "regular looking" rainbows farther downstream, where the genes of even the wild-born fish have been infiltrated by hatchery stock at some point. but up in the headwaters, brookies and browns share the water with a unique strain of 'bow. i treasure these gems.

Those crags ARE familiar... :) Man, I miss the Sierras. Grew up playing in them further south. I'm going to count on you to feed us norKal pics and reports!

If you ever see this old jeep in your travels, find the owner and tell him hello. :)

Yep, fall is a gorgeous time in the Sierra (no "S"). Look forward to the reports.
