Beautiful!! More importantly, does it work?
I have been thinking about tying up some salmon flies to experiment on our lake trout - just for fun. This one is on my list for sure and if you are so inclined I’d appreciate you sharing the recipe.

I have not fished this fly, but have no doubt that it will.
In my area the lakes that hold salmonids have a forage fish called a smelt which this fly represents. The pinkish color at a certain water depth takes on the color of the smelt.



Hook, Martinek Rangeley Streamer
Body, Red Floss
Tag, Flat Silver Tinsel
Butt, Purple Ostrich
Throat, Red Hackle
Wing, Two Pink, followed by Two Brown Saddle Hackles
Shoulder, Silver Pheasant
Cheeks, Jungle Cock.
