HACKLE - Golden Olive Cock
THORAX - BWO Super Fine Dry Fly Dub #9

And a paraloop version.

Very nice! I particularly like the second one as an emerger or cripple. Is it an optical illusion, or are the hackle fibers on the second one flared from the base? Unless you may reveal a secret, can you explain how you get them to flare like that? Maybe wind around a very short post and then wrap thread and slight dubbing around the base?

I might be mistaken, but I think scotfly used the paraloop method for the second fly. Great flies, I look forward to seeing more!

Ah-Ah! I missed that part in the title and right above that photo. Thanks! I was so impressed with the fly itself, I missed it totally. Obviously, I need to pay closer attention to that part.

Very cool Dennis - love them both and the olive looks very appetising. How do you find the super fine dubbing, have only used Fly-rite which is great when it behaves.... :?

I find all of the fine sythetics much of a muchness Andy. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all just rebadged.
