A month or so ago a fellow flyfisher and tyer from Japan, and myself did a fly swap.

He sent me a few of his favorites and I sent him a few of mine.

Well today I fished one of the fine flies from Japan on a special stream of mine.

This is the pattern from Japan,

The stream was sparkling, simply beautiful.

The little flies from the east worked well on this little stream in Connecticut.

And the little fly from here also worked well on these wild jewels.

Thank you Satoshi,

The flies look like emergent ants, bodies from peacock herl. Nice.

Very nice, ever fish any of the streams close to the NY border near Sherman? When I drive to Conn. I take a shortcut thru Pawling And Sherman to get to New Milford and there are some pretty streams on the way I believe they hold fish.

I use an old Nikon Cool Pix 4600.

Just keep taking photos and you'll get better shots.

Post some we would enjoy looking at them.

I have fished several in western CT, but not in the last few years.

There are several WTMA class 1 streams right near the NY border.

Great!! :D
Thank you for posting, Brk Trt.
Now, I'm really happy to see my fly on the mouth of a brooky in Conneticut.

....Well, from the too showy parachute post, you guys can tell my eyes are deteriorating much....

My home water has been open for a week now, but I'm still waiting till the bait fishing frenzy subsides.

I thought it to be really special that they would be taken to so well here.

I can't wait to get a report on the flies I sent over.
