Went camping with my youngest this weekend, he was disappointed we didn't make "Brown bears" like usual (had the fixin's but not enough for everyone that showed up,) so we made some at home last night over the coals I had done some fajita chicken over earlier...

Canned biscuits, rolled long and wrapped on a stick.
Cooked over coals, usually campfire...
Rolled in butter, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar.

Sinful kid camp food, or backyard barbecue fun...

Man--that sounds good! No wonder the kids were disappointed. You need to set up a BYOBB rule for the kids' sake. ;)

No kidding. We were on the lake on Camp of the Hills' property ~10 miles our side of Marble Falls. Man, Friday night was cold.

The view from the tent was good, though:

and this was one of the most welcome sights of the weekend... :)

Used to do that a lot in New Mexico--camp and wake up to a frosty/snowy dawn. But that coffee percolating on the fire/embers--nothing like it! Hey--camping with you is likely a gourmet time; Brown Bears/perked Coffee. Probably steaks grilled on the fire for dinner? MMMMMMMMM!
