I"m new to this forum & I look forward to discussing new fly fishing ideas, I'm into speyrods for steelhead fishing ,but with the steelhead runs so depressed I'm looking to go back to my roots and start fishing the small forgoten creeks near my home. I'm really interested in Tenkara style fishing from japan, and hope to gain some insite on that form of fishing on this forum.

Speys for chrome! Ahhh, you make me miss Oregon. I used to be a Loop dealer, and used most of their old Blue and Yellow line two handers. At one point I had a rod that Bob Meiser gave me that was one of his early S2H's that he had long term loaned to Bob Quigley... Now, even in Texas, I have two Meiser's that Bob made for me a few years ago, a 5/6 and a 7/8. I've taken the 5/6 loaded with a straight 7wt line out in the Gulf...

The runs are down... I've noticed that - I created and still run flyfishjefferson.com - the guys back home on the Rogue are certainly feeling the depressed runs.

Welcome...

Some pics of one of the said Meiser's back when the Rogue was my backyard...
